Dynamic Hope is a year-round, nonpublic school certified by the California Department of Education. We collaborate directly with public school districts to place students in our schools to provide behavioral and educational services. Referrals are only accepted from school districts.
We serve students with special needs from kindergarten through the age of 22. Students are able to work towards earning a high school diploma or certificate of completion, with the goal of returning to a public school setting as quickly as possible.
We use research-based, multidisciplinary behavioral programs and services,
Common
Core
The California State Board of Education adopted the Common Core standards in 2010. These core standards establish consistent and clear educational goals for the entire state to help our students be better prepared for college and career.
Our teachers are utilizing Common Core, along with Essential Standards, to teach our students to think critically and master concepts in a building block style. We believe this will enable them to connect learning to real life. If you would like a closer look at Common Core, please click the link below.
Courseware is a standards-based online learning program grounded in a tradition of solid research, sound pedagogy and applied innovation. Plato developed rigorous, relevant curriculum that challenges students with a 21st century approach - engaging them with interactive, media-rich content. Plato Courseware provides courses in a wide range of core subjects, electives, world languages, honors and Advanced Placement® offerings.
Courses consist of integrated assessments; including exemptive pretests that allow learners to forgo content they have already mastered and focus on the concepts that need additional work. Course-level assessments also include tests for each course module to ensure concept mastery. This is an easy way for students to engage in credit recovery.
We are proud to announce that we’ve opened our very own cafeteria, located in our Riverside Campus, which provides hot and nutritional meals to both campuses each day.
As part of creating vocational skills, our students who are in the Transition Education Culinary Program work part-time in our school cafeteria and earn wages similar to the rest of our employees. Our Culinary Program allows our students to work and gain on-site experience, which expands their skill sets and problem-solving abilities.
The Dynamic Hope Schools Transition Program is designed to teach functional life skills and entry-level work skills to students with special needs and support their growth into adulthood. Program activities take place in the community, at work sites and other locations.
The daily living, academic and domestic skills that are an integral part of working and the adult world are also emphasized. Transition students learn to ride public transportation, budget earnings, behave appropriately in public, follow directions and more.
A tiered program, students have the opportunity to advance through levels of instruction, fine-tune their work abilities and work toward independence as they progress.
School
Accountability
In compliance with the California Department of Education, Bright Futures Academy publishes a School Accountability Report Card (SARC) annually for each of our campuses. SARCs include class sizes, teacher credentials, curriculum information and other data intended to show the community our progress in reaching our goals. It is a useful tool for parents who are considering Dynamic Hope Schools for their child and for families of currently enrolled students alike.
